a study of awkwardness

The first time I was in Vancouver was when I was 12. My mother, God love her, packed my sister and I into a car and drove us across the country. A full week in a car with someone in the throes of teenage-girl-angst, I'm not sure I'd have done it.

When I saw these pictures I was instantly transported back to awkward teenage land. The beach is the same, my hair's the same, my expression's the same and my 'oh god get the frickin camera off of me' discomfort is the same.

I haven't really changed all that much, I'm same same but different :)

My standard 'look away at the last moment' move. I do that a lot.
