4.30am

4.30am is early. Some get up well before practice to have coffee, shower and toilet before leaving for the shala. These are the people I envy. I get up at 4.25, spend a few futile moments hitting the picture on the wall before cluing in and moving a few centimetres to the right where the light switch is, brush my teeth and stumble out of the house with the imprint of my pillow still marking my cheek. 4.30am is early.
